Devin’s Chip of the Day. The next chip that I’m going to design into one of my side projects MA35H0 from Nuvoton. At only 216 Pins and coming in a TQFP package it seems ideal for setting up a basic industrial rated Linux system. At an operating temperature range of -40C to 105C this is ideal for a lot of super demanding applications. With a lot of nice peripherals sweetening the chip up for other projects. Twelve 32-bit counters, 12 16-bit PWM counts, even more counters under something they call enhanced PWM channels. Up to 6 sets of UART at up to 9.5MBaud. Multiple SPI controllers, a Quad SPI controller, A pair of CAN FD controllers. USB Controllers and an Ethernet MAC. A DMA for the peripherals. The bootloader will boot from USB, SD, Nand Flash, or SPI flash. And it supports buildroot off the bat meaning getting it running with Linux should be a sinch.
Definitely going to find some excuse to make use of this little gem of a chip!
